Meet Laurence
Originally from France, Laurence Pillon joined Compass with more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, between Wall Street and The City. Drawing on her expertise and ethics acquired throughout her first career, she makes it a point of honor to offer excellent service to her French-speaking and non-French-speaking clients, whether they are newcomers, buyers, sellers, tenants or investors in New York. What really sets Laurence apart is her deep understanding of French culture, which allows her to easily explain the nuances of the market and help her clients realize their projects.
A graduate of Kedge Bordeaux and the University of Portsmouth, Laurence began her career at major French investment banks such as Société Générale and BNP Paribas, as well as at Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan. During her years living in London, she developed a growing interest in real estate. New York allowed her to make this project a reality.
With her extensive knowledge of neighborhoods, especially Downtown, the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side, coupled with an analytical approach, she adeptly meets the needs of a discerning clientele. Having relocated from London to New York with a young child, she values personalized relocation services backed by a strong professional network. As a cooperative owner, Laurence is also a key advisor in the purchasing process.
A long-time resident of Manhattan and active in the French-speaking community, Laurence lives in TriBeCa with her son and their golden retriever. Beyond real estate, she is passionate about the ninth art and the design of the 60s and 70s. Originally from Champagne, she is also a fine connoisseur of Bordeaux wines. She never misses an opportunity to discover remote places in the world with her son, or simply to spend the summer with her feet in the water in Cap Ferret or the Basque Country.
